When we were building our house 3 years ago the builder didn't necessarily have the exact options for the kitchen that I had been dreaming of--so my husband I made the decision to just get the cabinets through them and do a mini remodel a couple years down the line. Well this past June we did it, and it could not have gone any better. We built out our island to make it bigger and then had the whole thing framed out in paneling. We went back and forth for about 6 months on if we should get marble since every stone warehouse we walked into tried to talk us out of it when they saw our 3 kids,

Lately I have had quite a few brides who were undecided about a "First look" so I had Radiant Photography share with us why they love them so much! My husband and I actually did NOT have one 10 years ago, but I would have to say if I were to do it all over again I probably would...
I’ve heard it many times before…. “WHAT?! You’re going to see each other before the wedding?! You’re going to put a curse on your marriage!” Well actually, the reason behind the custom of not seeing each other before the ceremony on your wedding has less to do with superstitions and more to do with the realities of arranged marriages. The reason a groom is not to see his bride before the wedding…. is to make sure he doesn’t run away. Seriously. I am sure you all have seen the Dalmatian print craze that is currently trending. I of course fell in love with the simple yet dramatic appearance of this print because it can be used as a neutral! So on the hunt I went for some wall paper to put behind my bed--low and behold I found some and my grand total came to just under $1000.00 with install. This was not going to happen since I just spent a pretty penny on our new bed and dresser.

Guest Blogger, Ashley, from Lily Whites Party Cakes:
I was so excited when Shannon asked me to write a guest post for her awesome new blog because really--I love sweets! Talking about them, making them, and eating them! Chocolate, ice cream, cookies, you name it – if it’s sweet – I want to try it! So when my husband’s grandmother, who will be 94 years young this year, offered me a Rolo pretzel cookie for the first time, I just had to learn how to make them. I was surprised to find out how easy they were! Flash forward 12 years and these simple and fast cookies are still a favorite at our family parties! By using these 3 simple ingredients and just a few minutes, you can have your friends and family thinking you spent hours in the kitchen!
