Every year there are always a few weddings where the bride and her family turn into friends--this was one of them! I fell in love with Denae and her family during our 13 month planning process. She knew from the beginning that she wanted a modern romantic feel with a little glam, and never wavered from her decision. I don't get the opportunity to do a lot of indoor ceremonies because we have such nice weather most of the year, but I fell in love with the ambiance we created. The blank white canvas at Soho 63 was so easy to work with-we lined the aisle with huge clear vases filled with candles along with the whole white back drop for the ceremony was a wall filled with votives mounted to it.

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!! This year I wanted something a little different than we have done in years past for our annual pictures. I wanted to capture my kids, us, and our home all at the stage we are at right now, and I wanted it to be real life! I also knew one of my favorite wedding photographers, Vienna Glenn, whom I work with regularly did family lifestyle shoots as well. I knew that I had to have her--of course she did not disappoint!! I am in love with this session and my kids actually loved doing it. I think it is so neat she captured each child in their own room with some of their favorite toys.

When Mindi Verdi from Verdi Photography reached out to me about running their daughters destination wedding AZ I literally squealed with excitement! I was so honored that they picked me since they too are in the business, and I was obsessed with the atmosphere they wanted to create! Since 90% of the guests were not going to be from Arizona they wanted to have a Modern Desert Spanish feel, and the brides parents worked their behinds off to make it as authentic as possible even driving down to Mexico for some of the decor items. The actual set up for this wedding is probably one of my most LEAST favorite ever... the venue was 2 hours outside of the city and my rental truck was 5.5 hours LATE!!!

I was the little girl that watched Father of the Bride 5000 times by the time I graduated high school so when I walked in to Mackenzie's home for our 1st design consultation images of swans and rainbows perfectly arching over her home kept flashing thru my mind all the while I could hear Franc's voice in the background. That is how stunning her childhood home is, and it was a blast designing and planning with her and Sarah's Garden!!! We changed our design a few times before nailing it with these hues of grey, blush, & green! It really had a romantic organic feel to it, and I think it turned out perfect. The whole entire wedding day went flawless and had such a calm peaceful feel to it--something special that I think you have when your at home! You can also see the Style Me Pretty feature Here!
