Alright so here is the deal with this post.... I was NOT going to blog about the little fiesta I threw my husband. I didn't even get pictures of all the details, but then the direct messages started coming in from the few sneak peaks I posted on stories so here we are. I don't have pictures of all the decor, and their all from my phone, but a few of you are throwing fiesta's soon and wanted more deets!!!!
The bulk of the party was outside in our backyard so on our bistro lights I hung up some festive flagging which really added a ton of ambiance. On the 2 side tables next to our outdoor sectional I placed candles that I found at the dollar store with Virgin Mary on them--people LOVED this!!! Of course our deer head in the family room sported a sombrero along with hanging one on the front of our door. I put up a funny quote on our butcher paper roll in the kitchen about tequila, and then all the food was on the island to make your own tacos etc. Above the food was a sign that said "Say Queso" which was so cute, and of course the star of the show was Ruze Cake House's cake inspired by a traditional poncho. I of course had a funny cake topper made from Pineapple Hippie because if you know my husband at all it fits him to T. He speaks fluent Spanish, loves the Mexican culture, and calls me whitey...so it only seemed right! *You have to look closely at the picture to see what I am talking about.
After about an hour of the guests arriving I had a 5 person mariachi band walk through my house blaring Happy Birthday to the backyard where they stayed for awhile and played. This was the best thing ever, and so fun!!!!
