Whitney was an ABSOLUTE dream to work with! I think she called me when she had been engaged for 48 hours, and already had a vision! I think it would be best to describe her wedding as Kate Spade in a Garden with a Cinderella Twist! The best thing about Whitney is that we shared the same BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER mentality, and she let me do all my crazy BOLD ideas! Watching her wedding day design come together was so much fun because she was so open to being bold and different. I also am not sure I have ever seen a more photogenic person--literally EVERY single shot of her that day was breath taking hence why this post is so long--she had SO many good pictures!!!

Hallie & Matt's wedding was a dream to be a part of!!! The floral and lighting were out of this world!!! No detail was left undone. Guests were greeted with a signature cocktail upon arrival and then escorted to their seats which was in a barn that Angelic Grove decked out to the max with amazing lighting and succulents! Every woman had an option to take a parasal and cashmere wrap. Literally you could hear the guests gasp in awe in every new area they entered. I felt like I was in a dream with all the prettiness that surrounded me at all times.

Alaina and Keith came to me in the middle of their wedding planning. They are just one of those couples you fall in love with instantly so it was fun to dive head in and help them add all the special details that would make the day theirs! I think she was the 1st bride that I did the bold black and white stripe with 3 years ago--which has now spun out of control and I seem to have 1 or 2 every year since! Alaina was breath taking, and calm as ever on her wedding day.

Lately I have had quite a few brides who were undecided about a "First look" so I had Radiant Photography share with us why they love them so much! My husband and I actually did NOT have one 10 years ago, but I would have to say if I were to do it all over again I probably would...
I’ve heard it many times before…. “WHAT?! You’re going to see each other before the wedding?! You’re going to put a curse on your marriage!” Well actually, the reason behind the custom of not seeing each other before the ceremony on your wedding has less to do with superstitions and more to do with the realities of arranged marriages. The reason a groom is not to see his bride before the wedding…. is to make sure he doesn’t run away. Seriously. Many of the traditions we have in fact, are there for the sole purpose of keeping a groom planted in place just long enough to get a firm commitment out of him to a girl he’s never met before. Flowers… they hide bad smelling brides very well. The veil… he doesn’t lift it until he’s promised his life away, remember? And of course the whole “not seeing each other before hand thing”. Keep your flowers and your veil traditions, I’m fine with those and they both add a little something to the wedding. The hiding away from one another however, is a tradition I’d be happy to see go.

I often get asked if I have any good ideas for my brides before they start their registries... The answer is YES because I am constantly thinking in my head "Why couldn't that have been out 10.5 years ago when I was doing my registry?" My husband and I had quite a large wedding guest list so we were fortunate enough to get quite a bit to start us off on our married journey, however 10 years later I would have done things a little differently!!!
