I actually don't even know how I have been married 11 years let alone have 3 kids... But here we are. I always think back to the newly wed stage (probably because of my job) and get a little envious of those just starting out. It was so care free back then and you ALWAYS had date nights!!! That is one of the BIGGEST reasons I loved this photo shoot--I wanted to capture what life is like now. I want to look back 30 years from now, and see that we were still in love. That even with the kids running around, working like crazy, taking the kids to all their activities we still put each other 1st, and were happy.

Front Porch Make-Over

I have been wanting to do our front porch for awhile now, and as I wandered the aisles of Target last week I came across some patio furniture that happened to be on sale through cartwheel. They were modern looking and comfortable so basically a done deal. I grabbed the set, an outdoor rug, and some concrete planters and made a dash home to set it up. I immediately loved it all so I headed to Lowe's in search of the perfect succulents. It was all coming together perfectly, but it felt like it needed something for the wall above the seating to make it feel a little more "homey"

Saturday Morning Pancakes

I can still remember when I first got married, and being home from the honeymoon--our 1st weekend rolled around, and I thought I am going to get out our new waffle maker and make my husband waffles! Yea that was a disaster and they tended to be every weekend for the next year. I couldn't get waffles, pancakes, or crepes to look right, and so I gave up for awhile. Well 11 years and quite a few Williams Sonoma cooking classes later and I finally figured some things out so I thought I would share a few of those secrets!

Master Bedroom Insiration

We have been in our home now for 3.5 years, and our master bedroom is STILL NOT done!!! It takes me an eternity to make a decision when it comes to decorating. As of now the dalmatian wall is done, our bed and dresser are bought even though there is not 1 decor item on the dresser, and my beloved gold foil LOVE signs are hung, but besides that the rest of the walls need to be painted, there are no curtains, bedding, wall art or throw pillows. This is what I am using as inspiration to finish our room. I think this white bedding with a simple black border will pair amazing with the dalmatian wall that is behind our bed. I am honestly not sure if my husband will let me swing the pink, but I will try. I am also having a hard time trying to decided what color to paint the rest of the walls, but am leaning towards white. Lastly I can not wait til we can put woodlike floors in, and get rid of this builder carpet!!! Feel free to tag me in any fun decor items you guys find that I might want!!!
