This past weekend my baby turned 4!!! How this happened I have no idea, but she knew she wanted a My Little Pony Tea Party so I obliged. I didn't really start doing anything for it til 2 days prior so these will be some very easy last minute ideas for you the next time your planning a little shin dig. I knew I wanted the kids to have their "tea Party" part under a rainbow so I literally spent $5.00 on crepe paper and got to hanging. I did 32 rows rotating colors to make it look like a rainbow, and cover a good amount of ceiling space. Even though this was super inexpensive you should plan on spending a good 3 hours hanging it if your working alone. I think part of being a kid is LOVING those themed party sets at the party store so we intermixed the My Little Pony paper products with a few custom twists. For the dessert table we took a bunch of white balloons to make a cloud like formation and hung the same color crepe paper from them for another rainbow effect behind all the treats--again this was a very cost friendly look, but SO CUTE!!!!! I went simple with just a few desserts on the treat table and the star would be the rainbow drip cake with a few little ponies from Target thrown on it. I made swirled cupcakes inside ice cream cones to resemble "unicorn poop" to please the couple boys that were in attendance at the tea party, and some of the cutest macarons were custom made with Rainbow Dash on them to mimic the image from the invite. Last and also another favorite was the insanely cute Unicorn Bark that my lovely friend and neighbor made for me to shorten my to do list, Rebecca from Petite Party Studio, and she also generously blew up white balloons for me--now that is what friends are for. I will post the recipe for the Unicorn Bark soon!
Want to know a not so proud fact about me?!? I actually hate having tons of little kids in my house because I am so OCD, but I am determined to work though that so that our home is filled with memories--that being said after everyone went home I enjoyed a nice big glass of vino while I cleaned!
