I love the change of pace in planning little kid birthday parties!! It is so fun when your main goal is to blow the socks off of a child. When Anavay's mom came to me she did not have a theme yet so we brainstormed and I sent over inspiration boards for a couple ideas, and she picked Sprinkles & Unicorns. Once she gave me the go ahead on the theme there was no turning off all the ideas from flowing freely. We went with a pretty girly palette of pink, but had lots of other bright colors as well. The 1st thing I always like to do is come up with a source of entertainment for the kids--I knew with this we had to find a way to have REAL UNICORNS for the kids to ride. What do you know I found a unicorn rental company. I actually went to their farm and picked out the colors I wanted their tails, manes, and of course their unicorn horns. This was the highlight of the party, and those unicorns were rode for the entire time by all the kids. On the dessert table is where I incorporated sprinkles, and I think it tied the theme together perfectly. Prior to coming to the party the guests received invitations that were laid in a bed of sprinkles so it all came full circle once they arrived.
