Back in December I co-hosted a floral workshop at my home with Sarah from Sarah's Garden. Well today I got to take all the stuff I learned that night and put it to use, and Oh My Goodness it was so fun!!! I went to the floral wholesaler this morning and went straight to work when I got home. I was shocked at how easily I remembered her instruction. I bought 5 different kinds of floral. 2 solid green fillers and 3 with white floral.

This past weekend we took the kids to stay at The Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass for the 3 day weekend, OMG what a perfect hotel for families and kids!!!! I just can not even explain to you all the fun that my family had in those 3 day. Besides the amazing food and spa that they always have they have set up numerous extra children activities for the summer. There is a whole extra inflatable water slide section complete with a DJ and BAR. There is an indoor inflatable bounce house section that takes up probably 4 ball rooms again complete with a DJ, face painting, and random cotton candy servers!!!

Is it horrible that I am counting down the days til school gets out just because I can not wait to get to our families happy place?!? Summers in AZ are HOT so we escape every chance we get. I was born in San Diego and have gone back for the summer for a huge part of my life. So naturally when my husband and I started dating he got to join in on the tradition, and by the time we were married he too was hooked on staying in a beach house every year. There is just something about packing up the car and heading to the beach knowing that for the next however many days you will not be putting on make up, doing your hair, or even driving anywhere for that matter.

This past weekend my husband and I left the kiddos at my in-laws and we went and stayed the weekend at The Saguaro Resort to celebrate our anniversary. With our anniversary being in prime wedding season there is never enough time to leave for a lengthy period so the weekend stay-cation worked perfect! After all tons of people vacation in AZ right now for the weather, and all we wanted to do was relax poolside and eat good food in peace. The atmosphere at The Saguaro makes you feel like your in Palm Springs. The colors everywhere and the yummy cocktails made lounging a dream.
